WHO ARE YOU SHIRT

Sometimes the most disrespectful NFL trash talk doesn’t require a touchdown celebration, a microphone, or even a clever comeback. Sometimes all it takes is checking the name on someone’s jersey.

During the San Francisco 49ers’ October 11, 2026 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks, veteran wide receiver Mike Evans created an instantly recognizable viral moment when he physically turned Seahawks cornerback Trevon Diggs around to read his nameplate.

The Who Are You Shirt recreates that unforgettable interaction with both players facing off against repeated red lettering. It’s a perfectly timed piece of NFL rivalry humor, capturing a confrontation that quickly became internet meme material.

Storytelling

The 49ers and Seahawks have a long history of heated NFC West meetings, but their October 11, 2026 matchup delivered a new kind of memorable exchange.

San Francisco defeated Seattle 32-29 at Lumen Field, with Mike Evans delivering seven receptions for 113 yards and a touchdown. He also caught a crucial two-point conversion during the second half.

Yet one of the game’s most widely discussed moments had nothing to do with the scoreboard.

During the second quarter, Evans and Trevon Diggs began exchanging words after a play. Rather than responding with another verbal insult, Evans grabbed Diggs by the shoulders and turned him around to read the name on the back of his Seahawks jersey.

The scene looked like a veteran receiver casually checking whether his opponent was important enough to recognize.

The internet immediately understood the comedic potential.

Clips circulated across X, NFL social accounts, and Reddit, where fans interpreted the jersey-checking gesture as an especially creative form of football trash talk. One widely shared discussion in r/nfl centered on the sheer absurdity of physically turning an opponent around to identify him.

But the real story added another layer.

Evans explained afterward that he genuinely hadn’t recognized Diggs beneath his helmet. Despite having faced him previously, Evans said he needed to check the nameplate before realizing who had been talking to him.

That explanation made the moment even funnier to many fans. What looked like a calculated insult might actually have been genuine confusion.

Diggs wasn’t an unknown defender, either. The former Dallas Cowboys cornerback led the NFL with 11 interceptions in 2021 and earned All-Pro recognition. His recognizable career made the apparent dismissal especially striking.

For 49ers fans, the incident captured Evans’ competitive personality during his first season in San Francisco. His impressive performance made the viral exchange an even bigger part of the game’s story.

The phrase WHO ARE YOU turns those few seconds into a lasting NFL meme. It’s not merely a question. Within the artwork, it represents the unexpected moment when a veteran receiver turned a routine confrontation into an unforgettable visual joke.

Product Description

The Mike Evans Who Are You Shirt transforms one of the 2026 NFL season’s most entertaining player interactions into a bold football graphic.

Instead of using a generic 49ers slogan, the design captures the actual visual moment: Evans in his San Francisco uniform reaching toward Diggs, whose Seahawks jersey prominently displays his name and number.

Repeated red lettering behind the players creates the feeling of a replay that refuses to stop looping.

The design appeals to 49ers supporters who enjoyed Evans’ competitive attitude, NFL fans who followed the viral clip, and collectors of football memes tied to real on-field incidents.

It’s especially recognizable during 49ers–Seahawks rivalry games, football watch parties, and conversations about memorable NFL trash talk.

Visual Interpretation

The artwork appears on a white shirt with a centered, vertically arranged football graphic.

Large red WHO ARE YOU lettering dominates the background. The phrase repeats several times, alternating between solid and outlined typography.

In the foreground, two NFL players recreate the viral confrontation.

On the left, Mike Evans wears a San Francisco 49ers white jersey, gold pants, and a gold helmet with the team’s red emblem. His arm extends toward the opposing player, capturing the recognizable jersey-checking gesture.

On the right, Trevon Diggs faces away from the viewer in a Seattle Seahawks navy uniform. His jersey clearly displays DIGGS and number 16 in bright green.

The contrast between San Francisco’s white, red, and gold and Seattle’s navy and neon green makes the opposing identities immediately recognizable.

Rather than depicting a tackle or touchdown, the artwork freezes the precise interaction that made the incident famous.
